In September, she'll teach an in-person 2-day seminar in western Oregon with her newly-revised BAT seminar and she's feeling inspired to stream that event for you via Zoom at the same time!

We will be livestreaming in English and Spanish.

  • What is BAT for?

    Behavior Adjustment Training is for all people with dogs. Developed for aggression, frustration, and fear, BAT also helps with puppy socialization and supporting any dog's thrival.

  • Trauma- and Attachment-Informed

    BAT helps you learn how to attune to your dog's needs and preferences (and your own), building a strong bond. Learn how to create safe-enough experiences to practice exploration and social skills.

  • Immerse Yourself in BAT

    We all learn differently. Some folks prefer bite-sized learning. Others prefer the chance to block out time to deep dive into the material. This seminar gives you a chance to focus on learning BAT for two full days.

    It will also be recorded, so you can go back and catch anything you missed.

    We will be streaming a live in-person seminar in Oregon, so we appreciate your patience and understanding that there will be breaks for lunch, etc.

    You can ask Grisha Questions by typing in the Q&A. We also plan to have a CBATI-KSA coordinating the Zoom, so you can ask clarifying questions during the session.

    Accessibility

    The session is taught in English. There will also be an option to listen in Spanish instead. The seminar is translated simultaneously into Spanish, too!

I'm a collaborative dog trainer, author, international presenter, singer-songwriter, and keynote speaker, best known in the dog world for developing BAT (Behavior Adjustment Training). I've been helping people and dogs professionally since 2003. My work is directed at wholehearted living for all beings. For over 20 years, I've been coaching people to help dogs with a history of aggression, frustration, or fear as well as puppies. My other favorite species is humans.

My Behavior Adjustment Training (see Blue BAT book and BAT Foundations course) is used worldwide to help dogs gain confidence and social skills. Well over 200,000 people have learned about BAT so far.

As an outgoing introvert, I refresh my batteries by singing, expressing grief in community, and savoring life with my husband (Tom), Labrador (Joey), cat (Garbanzo aka "Adventure Kitty" and "Baby Panther"), and Little Brown Dog (Zuki). My pronouns are she/her and 'they' is also fine. Some identities I carry are middle age, raised in poverty and now of middle class, queer (pansexual), and neurodivergent, US citizen, European ancestry, widow, sister, aunt, wife, step-mom, cat mom, and (of course!) dog mom.

My non-dog passion projects are community building, songwriting, and woodturning.

I'm fascinated by animal behavior (including humans), somatic awareness, spirituality, and psychology.
