Positive Answers for Dog Aggression

When Emma Parsons, canine behavior consultant, discovered that her own dog was aggressive, she developed innovative and effective strategies to calm, alter, and re-shape his reactive displays, and those of her clients' dogs.

Emma’s approach is different from mine, though longtime BAT fans will see some similarities, too. I find it incredibly helpful to watch other trainers do their thing! Emma will be teaching an actual in-person group class for dog-to-dog aggression, and you will be able to see it all, almost-live, from the comfort of your own home.

  • Suitable for Pet Professionals.

  • Using an operant approach to desensitize dogs to approaching strange dogs.

  • Learn to use your own body language when under stress as a cue for your dog to remain calm.

  • Safety disclosure: Emma’s instruction is tailored to the dogs and caregivers in her local class. You can extrapolate, but always use your own best judgement. If you are new to working with dog aggression, I recommend not only learning as much as you can online & from books, but also hiring a 1-1 mentor to advise you on cases with a risk of biting or fighting.

  • Live video broadcast and recordings.

  • We also have a Library Pass which lets you stream this course and a lot of other pre recorded content. Find out more on the Library Pass Page.

I really like to see this class of Emma, because it matches great with how i work with dogs. Also learning new stuff and seeing how she builds op class and exercises. Also i would like to point out that the sentence of Grisha impressed me a lot, she was saying that although some of the viewpoints of how you both work with dogs may differ, you are still friend. I really love that, because sometimes it feels like only 'this method' of 'that method' is the only right thing, and i love how this brings a feeling of connection!

Thank you! This was a great experience to observe and learn. I love Emma’s slow and flexible approach. Her priority to adapt to the needs of each team and partner with handler to make decisions about what was right for their dog was effective for both ends of the leash.

The clarity of exercises, stages of learning, and layout of each class was fantastic. Emma’s instruction for each of the learners was both clear and compassionate, it was great to see the difference in the dog and their handlers each week. The additional Q&A sessions following each class were informative, and the additional resources/handouts are a great take away for future!
