Dr. Capon provides a WEALTH of information in a way that is easy to understand. She is personable and highly knowledgeable. She gives key information on how to work smoothly with a veterinarian. It is not always easy to take in the information she provides, yet it is essential information for those of us who wish to minimize pain in our dogs. She was gracious to go overtime to answer questions, and she provided numerous downloadable free resources. I want to learn more from her!

Dr. Hannah Capon provided a wealth of science-based information couple with practical tips on how owners can best evaluate and support their canine family members through osteoarthritis. As someone with osteoarthritis this seminar was spot on. If I only knew 15 years ago what I know now I could have better managed pain in my border collie. Alas, I am far more enlightened now and I will apply and share this learning and to the CAM website with all my dog friends. Heartfelt thanks Grisha for bringing Dr. Capon to your school!!

As a CVT, this was such a well presented and thorough class. I see so many dogs struggling with OA and in chronic pain. To hear Hannah summarize why and how pain effects everything in a dogs so succinctly, and to give so much weight to how pain effects everything in a dog's life, was a breath of fresh air. This is a must for every dog owner and animal care professional!

Heartbreaking. I bawled from that initial commercial video; hit me personally as having gone through many very similar situations with doctors, and also that i missed the signs for so long in my own dog. I am excited to find those pain tracking pages and metrics to use/offer my clients. I work with some rescues and it's really sad how much pain some appear to be in and how rarely seem to notice or document this. On the other hand, I worry that documentation of these problems inadvertently punishes clients due to issues of cost etc, not to mention making a dog less "adoptable ". I found the lack of evidence for glucosamine/chondroitin interesting, after 2 weeks I saw a great improvement in my dog, not in the accute symptoms but the ones that I hadn't even realized were symptoms of pain since they happened incrementally. I wonder if it treats some other issue correlated to arthritis? I found also that 1-2mg of CBD oil 2x a day made an even bigger improvement (he's 5.5kg). He has only had one acute arthritis incident "bad pain days" since and it was after he jumped and fell awkwardly... I know it's anecdotal and I'm not a vet (I did spend a LOT of my childhood on a vet practice and learned a few things) but I swear he's doing better now at 11 than he was at 8. It also appears that the CBD could be helping his heart murmur? When I forgot his CBD at the farm once and he went without for a week his symptoms really spiked. One online source said the anti-inflammatory effects might help this... I really look forward to seeing more studies and literature to find out more!

Visits to the Veterinarian can often be very frustrating. This course helped me to continue to be patient and calm when working with our Vet. I also agree that the understanding of the experience of pain in the dog often appears to be lacking not just by owners of dogs but also by many Veterinarians. Thank you Grisha so much for inviting yet another fantastic guest onto your webinar.

Two of my dogs are rising 13, still in great shape but seeing signs of slowing down. With the information given in this course I'm now looking at all the tiny signs and it's quite scary. Also learning that their supplements aren't really doing any good..........my Golden has Librela and that really does help. I'll be retrying a good source of CBD on the german sheperd mix, she's started to drag the toes of her hind feet a bit. They both love to swim, think that does them good. Thank you for all the excellent information

I know so many dogs that are in pain and the owners don't recognise it, thinking it's normal for an old dog to walk a bit weird. All of my dogs were or are within the 80% statistic with arthritis and a proper treatment helped them a lot to improve their pain and life quality. I wish everyone would watch this course to see the early signs and help their dogs . There's also a lot of extra information and links at the end of the presentation to help through the process.
