Thank you for this opportunity to learn. I was doing some techniques based on what worked with other pets but it is so good to have a focused, methodical, informed approach. I have never seen these leash skills and they make sense ! Your way with being present with the dogs and owners is very reassuring both in person and in the videos.

What an amazing value for this loose leash walking 21-day challenge. I fully endorse and encourage others to take this course. It's sure to have value for everyone and the short videos are very clear and cover numerous behaviors. I was able to start training with my dogs in real time from day one. Add on the extras that cover pulling, barking, jumping up, etc., and its only day seven. Awesome!

The 21 day challenge is great but it is too much material. 2-3 exercises a day, every day doesn't leave much if any room for trouble shooting or a break. After week 2 we fell back, reset and decided to proceed at a much slower pace. For us we have found that practicing only 1 exercise a day and restricting our practice to 3 days a week is yielding much better results.

This was an exceptional class on loose leash walking. I wasn't sure if I would learn new things after working with rescue dogs for over 20 years and going to lots of trainings, but I did! The Glimmer exercises are so important to learn for both you and and your dog. And learning about the Balance Harness and the benefits of it has made walking a more joyful experience for my GSD, Kali. There were many other lessons that are helpful too. Lessons are presented in a way that is easy to follow and practice. I would recommend this class if you would like a new experience walking your dog.

Short, simple lessons to make dog walks better!

I love to help dogs and people enjoy their walks, so I developed a technique called Behavior Adjustment Training (BAT) to help people manage walks while promoting safety and freedom. I let dogs wander, when possible, and I also train dogs to focus on their humans for when that's needed. This class is an introduction to a blend of those techniques.

Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Author

Grisha Stewart MA, CPDT-KA, KPACTP

I'm a collaborative dog trainer, author, podcaster, international presenter, and keynote speaker based in Oregon, USA. My passion projects are grief tending, community singing, and woodturning. I enjoy developing empowering approaches to help dogs and people live in harmony.

I'm fascinated by animal behavior, somatic awareness, and psychology. I'm passionate about wholehearted living for all beings, including dogs with a history of aggression, frustration, or fear as well as puppies and my other favorite species: humans.

My Behavior Adjustment Training technique (BAT 2.0 book and the new BAT 3.0) is used worldwide to help dogs gain confidence and social skills. A conservative calculation is that well over 200,000 people have learned about BAT so far.

I have always loved teaching. I earned a Master's in mathematics and taught college courses, but I found my true calling in dog training. I have been teaching dog training and behavior since 2003. In 2010, I started traveling worldwide to teach dog trainers about BAT. In 2014 I developed BAT 2.0 and also started this online dog training and behavior school, the Grisha Stewart Academy which now has over 140 classes from my favorite emotionally intelligent dog and human behavior experts. I also co-host a podcast at The Lesson is Love.

As an outgoing introvert, I enjoy teaching at cooperative conferences and am so grateful to be able to offer classes about dogs online. I refresh my batteries by singing, expressing grief in community, and savoring life in the woods with my husband (Tom), Labrador (Joey), cat (Garbanzo aka "Adventure Kitty" and "Baby Panther"), and Little Brown Dog (Zuki).
