Thank you for an excellent and informative presentation Susan. I have been a lover of sighthounds for several years and our lovely lurcher came to live with us from a rescue centre about 5 years ago. He has his challenges but is also a wonderful dog and has inspired me to learn as much as possible to give him the best possible life. This is the first time I have had the pleasure of watching a sighthound-specific presentation and it has been very helpful. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge on these special animals.

since many folks in my community are adopting ex racers and galgos (and pods too) and I have a sighthound dog myself. A particular highlight is the slide designs with good sum ups and bullet points so you can easily go back through the presentation and get a quick overview and find spot you wanted to re-listen to.

This webinar was an excellent over view of sighthounds and their needs, particularly when considering rescue or retired track Greyhounds. I enjoyed the content but would have liked some more detail about how some of the training was put together. That said, there were excellent links provided for further skill and understanding building around the training topics. Everyone involved with sighthounds should know this stuff

Go beyond the myths...

and discover the real motivation behind the behavior of Sighthounds. Using case studies and her wealth of breed experience for these unique dogs, British animal behaviorist and Sighthound expert Susan McKeon shares her deep understanding of Sighthound behavior, especially ex-racing greyhounds. Professional dog trainers will benefit from learning practical strategies to help sighthound guardians with common behavior and training issues.

In addition, Susan zeroed in on the specific needs of Sightounds in shelters, the rehoming of ex-racing greyhounds, and the challenges pet guardians may face during the transition from shelter dog to life as a companion animal.
