This was the best webinar I have seen so far regarding this topic. Terrie gives so much in depth info and her explanations are very well thought through and easy to understand and follow. I’m very interested in this topic as a trainer but also personally as my dog suffers from isolation distress. We have been working with a training protocol alongside medication and have had huge success, however she has lately reverted back to her stress behaviour which is pacing and/or sitting in front of an outside door, intensely listening to every sound. The insights that Terrie gives about her strategy and training methods with her clients is amazing, I have never seen a dog trainer voluntarily give away so much information. Very refreshing and for sure help I would seek out when needed! Thank you Terrie for presenting and thank you Grisha for organising these great webinars! Anke

Separation anxiety is such a big problem, especially after so many people adopted "lockdown dogs". Unfortunately still a lot of trainers don't know how to make a properly training protocol and don't show options how to build that village that is needed. A great course that helps to get to the root of the problem and offers solutions for the cause, not the symptoms.

Separation Anxiety - it may not be what you think!

Dogs are social animals and prefer to be with their group, but dogs also need a lot of rest and can learn to feel safe and comfortable spending some time alone at home. Common separation-related behaviors include destructive chewing at doorframes and exits, digging, barking, howling, or urination in the house.

In this webinar, Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer Terrie Hayward teaches a practical, systematic approach to reduce or eliminate separation distress. This webinar and Q&A session are now available on-demand.

  • Suitable for pet owners, trainers, behaviorists, shelter workers and anyone looking to expand your knowledge and skills to support dogs.

  • Explore multiple definitions of Separation Anxiety while being mindful of observable behavior vs. labelling.

  • Shed light on diagnosis. What is the role of the Vet and what is the role of the Trainer in this process?

  • Understand the role of remote and virtual training. How can technology help?

  • Get tools to help manage relationships between care givers, veterinary professionals and others involved in a supporting role.

  • This webinar and whole lot more is included with a Diamond Membership All Access Pass. For one low price per month, you get access to all of our emotionally enriching dog courses. See if Diamond is right for you.
