Multiple methods of handling separation anxiety are discussed, including use of anti anxiety medications.. (great comparison to a diabetic and being denied insulin btw. 👏. As dog caretakers, trainers, pals and family members it is our responsibility to ensure appropriate care that might include medication. I appreciated that the option was presented in a thoughtful compassionate manner framing the duty to relieve the turmoil if we can, even if that requires medication to help relieve their intense anxiety. I know many people who are on Xanax themselves... why not keep every option open because in the end we do all this for them.

I wish I could have seen this course before the adoption to organise the village that we would have needed. We had 12 wonderful years together in which I dedicated my whole life to my dog, with a bit more knowledge at the beginning it surely would have been easier.
